About you:
As an Certified Accountant at Rauva, you will play a critical role in enabling Rauva's rapid growth as one of the leading financial super-apps in the Southern European market.You will join a dynamic team responsible for delivering accounting services to our premium users, ensuring they receive expert financial support tailored to their unique business needs. We are looking for tech savvy modern day accountants that will become true advisors to our customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Handle day to day accounting tasks, classify and record documents in accordance with accounting standards
- Manage administrative procedures and other associated tasks.
- Prepare and manage financial statements, reports, and records.
- Prepare monthly and year end tax filings in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Handle requests from our premium users and advise and address their needs regarding accounting & fiscal topics effectively
- Proactively stay on top of accounts, making sure that the customers complete necessary milestones to stay financially compliant.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and accounting best practices.
What’s your ideal background?
- Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Accountant with 5+ years of experience in accounting for small & medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), ideally from inception
- Portuguese Certified Accountant - OCC license (mandatory)
- A sense of responsibility, proactiveness, and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced startup environment and ability to multitask
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards
- Appetite to work in tech / startups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills ( written and verbal)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to provide excellent customer experience to users
- Fluency in English (B1/B2 +) and Portuguese is a requirement
- Knowledge of Centragest (plus)
- Based in Lisbon, Portugal
