Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models to rank search results based on user behavior and preferences.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights related to user interactions and search effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML models into the production environment.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of existing ranking algorithms.
• Conduct A/B tests to measure the impact of changes.
• Research the latest developments in machine learning and search technologies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science, with hands-on experience developing recommendation systems or Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions.
• Strong Python and ML/DL expertise, including collaborative filtering, Transformers, and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Proficiency in SQL (OLAP and OLTP) for efficient querying and data processing.
• Big Data experience, with exposure to handling petabytes of data efficiently.
• Understanding of search engine algorithms and how they interact with recommendation models.
• Basic knowledge of statistics to support data-driven decision-making.
• English B2+ proficiency with good presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing real-time high-load ML systems that handle millions of users and products efficiently.
• ElasticSearch experience, particularly in search ranking and query optimization.
• E-commerce industry experience, specifically with search engine algorithms and personalization strategies.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for scaling and managing analytical solutions.
• MLOps fundamentals, including CI/CD, model versioning, and deployment practices.
• Docker experience.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
