Leadership & Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 software engineers, ensuring their growth and success.
  • Design frameworks and processes to manage team workload, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and alignment with business goals.
  • Advocate for your team and foster collaboration across departments, including Product, Engineering, Services and Sales, to improve our offerings and customer experience.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent while fostering a high-performance culture within your team.
  • Build dashboards and reports to provide visibility into key performance indicators, team workload, and progress on initiatives.
Development & Technical Contribution:
  • Actively participate in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions.
  • Contribute to web services, user interfaces, and backend processes, integrating APIs and data stores to enhance the Talkdesk platform.
  • Engage in technical problem-solving, research, and solution architecture to meet business and client needs.
  • Lead and participate in agile development processes, ensuring iterative delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Develop and maintain applications using JavaScript and Node.js as core programming tools.
  • Work primarily on the AWS platform, leveraging its services to build scalable and secure solutions.
  • Support and guide the team in scoping and discovery sessions, ensuring sound technical designs and delivery strategies.
  • Stay updated on modern frameworks, languages, and cloud technologies, integrating them into project workflows where appropriate.

Requirements

Technical Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in software development with proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Experience with front-end development (React preferred) and expertise in AWS as the primary cloud platform.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, API development, and cloud-based service architectures.
  • Proven experience working within agile development methodologies.
  • Nice-to-have experience with MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Bonus skills: Experience with Salesforce and related tools.
  • Passion for building innovative solutions with a focus on enterprise durability and scalability.
Leadership Skills:
  • At least 5+ years of experience managing and mentoring technical teams in professional services, customer support, or development environments.
  • Track record of fostering team growth, handling recruitment, and driving performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex challenges with professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at presenting ideas and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance technical, business, and customer priorities effectively.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Primarily office-environment work, extended periods of sitting or standing, computer-based work. Limited lifting, and equipment usage limited to computer-related equipment (keyboards, mouse, etc.)
