Head of D&M Expansion & Strategic Initiatives

We are in search of a Head of Deployment & Maintenance (D&M) Expansion & Strategic Initiatives to join our innovative team as our new #bloqstar. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in leading the growth and evolution of our smart locker deployment and maintenance operations.

This is a hybrid position, ideally based in Portugal but open to one of the offices in Lisbon, Porto, Madrid, Milan, Brussels, Paris or Amsterdam.

What will be your responsibilities

• Develop and lead the strategy for scaling D&M operations in new and existing markets, ensuring seamless deployment and maintenance processes ;
• Oversee high-impact projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, cost optimization, and service quality ,
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, engineering, product and finance teams to align expansion strategies with business objectives ;
• Identify opportunities to enhance deployment and maintenance methodologies through automation, technology, and best practices ;
• Establish and manage relationships with key suppliers, logistics partners, and contractors to support expansion efforts ;
• Develop and manage budgets for expansion projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets ;
• Track KPIs related to expansion, maintenance efficiency, and strategic initiatives, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement ;
• Ensure that all expansion activities comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.

What are the requirements to join us in this position [

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field;
• 10+ years of experience in operations, deployment, or expansion management, preferably in the technology, logistics, or infrastructure sectors;
• Strong track record in managing large-scale expansion projects and strategic initiatives;
• Expertise in process optimization, resource planning, and operational efficiency;
• Experience with leading expansion or launching new markets;
• Proficiency in data analysis and strategic decision-making;
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills;

Extra valued skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities;
• Experience in smart locker, IoT, or tech-enabled infrastructure industries is a plus;
