Intro
You will be responsible for creating and reporting financial statements to stakeholders at various levels, and overseeing financial budgeting, expenses, and revenue for overall company success. The role reports to the COO and is a key stakeholder for the Leadership and Board.
Challenges & Responsibilities
- Delivering the long-term strategic plan, annual budget, and financial models to forecast the budget impact of proposed projects or policies;
- Monitoring cash flow, forecasting future cash flow needs, making adjustments accordingly and also monitor the organization's financial health;
- Managing accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance;
- Ensure that the financial and operational systems, processes, and functions are compliant, efficient, reliable, and quality-assured through effective policies and internal controls;
- Decide on specific purchasing and accounting requests, and participate in setting the financial goals and metrics;
- Be responsible for all internal and external audit preparation and carrying out recommended actions;
- Lead on the closure of the accounts and the preparation of the annual statement of accounts;
- Produce clear, concise, professionally researched policies, plans and reports.
We are looking for someone with:
- Finance/Management/Accounting/Economics degree;
- Minimum 3-4 years as a Head of Finance or CFO in a Startup Environment;
- In-depth general accounting oversight (IFRS), all relevant accounting practices, and knowledge of accounting/financial software;
- Experience with working with multiple subsidiaries in different Geographies;
- Excellent English level and communication/presentation skills;
- Detail-oriented, data-driven, and analytical mindset;
- Learns quickly and has strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills;
- Proactive Leader with high levels of accountability.
