WA.Technology enables operators to build their own casino, sportsbook, lottery, fantasy, or poker business precisely as they envision it.
Long story short, you will
As the Platform Product Owner you will define product features, prioritize backlog and guide the Engineering Teams in creating and implementing core platform features. You will act as the bridge between stakeholders and developers, driving innovation and enhancing user engagement.
In this role you will be reporting to the Head of Product and play a key role in the development and improvement of our platform. We are looking for a candidate who preferably has i-Gaming experience and is located in Malta or Portugal (Lisbon or Porto). The role offers flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
All the responsibilities we will trust you with:
- Define the vision for the platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable, results-driven product roadmaps.
- Partner closely with the Engineering Teams to oversee the end-to-end delivery of platform features and integrations.
- Own and maintain a well-prioritised product backlog.
- Create detailed specifications for new products and features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on product vision.
- Anticipate and address potential risks, ensuring the platform adheres to the highest standards of regulatory, security and compliance requirements.
- Leverage insights from Business Intelligence, market trends, and customer feedback to make informed, high-impact decisions.
- Support commercial intelligence and business teams in meeting revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing to strategic discussions and decisions.
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the platform. Use these insights to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimisation.
- Provide regular, high-level updates to the Head of Product on the progress of platform initiatives, key achievements, and challenges.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise :
- 2-3 years as a Platform Product Owner, with a strong understanding of software development and technical concepts.
- Solid understanding of at least one of the following core platform features: CRM, KYC, Rewards systems, or PAM.
- Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
- Ability to define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders
- Highly skilled in using data insights and analyzing market trends
- Ability to prioritize features that balance customer satisfaction with business goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English
- Personal attributes: self-driven, proactive, great organization and prioritization skills, accountable, collaborative
- Bonus if you have previous experience mentoring team members and guiding teams on product management best practices
