ROLE
Reporting to the Indirect Tax Senior Manager, you will help lead the junior members and collaborate with the wider team in supporting the overall Farfetch Group on all Indirect Tax matters on an international level. This is a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary Indirect Tax team working from an international business perspective. You will experience first-hand the impact that Indirect Tax has on a Group with a worldwide presence and help tailor the path to What has never been done before.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Actively support the wider team in the preparation and design of procedures for the integration of new entities and realities that the business decides to take on. This will imply contact with multiple teams, ranging from Tech to Product and FinanceAnalyze new business lines, transactions, projects, and procedures within FARFETCH to provide VAT advisory support. You will help lead the team in identifying opportunities, designing solutions and/or improvement proposalsActively support junior members of the team on projects, implementation procedures and/or day-to-day advisory requests received from the wider FARFETCH Group regarding Indirect Tax issues and questions with a special focus on US sales taxReview and monitor compliance workflows for US sales tax, and ensure that respective tax-related documentation is up to dateCollaborate with the wider Indirect Tax team (including our internal compliance & Reporting team) in any Indirect Tax workstreams. You will be the point of contact on US tax matters for the wider team WHO YOUR ARE
Indirect tax professional with a minimum of 3 years of experienceExperience in US Sales TaxExperience with GST in Canada is an advantageFluent in English (written and spoken)Previous experience in e-commerce and/or the fashion industry is an advantageDynamic and proactive person, with a high sense of responsibility and high autonomyExcellent team player, with the ability to adapt and interact with different departments (including Tech and other teams outside of the Finance area).
