Sword Health is on a mission to free two billion people from pain as the world’s first and only end-to-end platform to predict, prevent and treat pain.

Delivering a 62% reduction in pain and a 60% reduction in surgery intent, at Sword, we are using technology to save millions for our 2,500+ enterprise clients across three continents. Today, we hold the majority of industry patents, win 70% of competitive evaluations, and have raised more than $300 million from top venture firms like Founders Fund, Sapphire Ventures, General Catalyst, and Khosla Ventures.

Recognized as a Forbes Best Startup Employer in 2023, this award highlights our focus on being a destination for the best and brightest  talent. Not only have we experienced unprecedented growth since our market debut in 2020,  but we’ve also created a remarkable mission and value-driven environment that is loved by our growing team. With a recent valuation of $2 billion, we are in a phase of hyper growth and expansion, and we’re looking for individuals with passion, commitment, and energy to help us scale our impact.

Joining Sword Health means committing to a set of core values, chief amongst them to “do it for the patients” every day, and to always “deliver more than expected” on behalf of our members and clients.

This is an opportunity for you to make a significant difference on a massive scale as you work alongside 800+ (and growing!) talented colleagues, spanning two continents. Your charge? To help us build a pain-free world, powered by technology, enhanced by people — accessible to all.

As Lead Videographer, you will be responsible for bringing our brand to life through the art of visual storytelling as a means to drive adoption and deeper engagement amongst benefits leaders and members.

You'll play a pivotal role in capturing, crafting, and presenting our mission, products, and company culture through a range of dynamic videos. This position is ideal for individuals who possess a strong blend of technical skills and creativity, and who thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be on the road: Candidates for this position thrive when they’re on the go. This role will require frequent travel throughout the year, largely in the US but with occasional needs in Europe, and be comfortable shooting in various Sword member homes to capture real, authentic journeys and testimonials;
  • Know the difference between good and great: Capture high-quality footage that tells compelling, human-centered stories, and ensure it adheres to Sword Health’s overarching brand guidelines and aesthetic;
  • Work your magic in post-production: This is more than just editing. Your love for storytelling means you can take raw footage and transform it into powerful, polished videos with strong story arcs and narratives that engage and inspire our audience (tugging at heartstrings is always a win!);
  • Have a keen attention to detail: Incorporate graphics, effects, and audio/music to enhance the storytelling experience so the work is not just seen, but felt;
  • Love to collaborate: Work closely with marketing and design leadership to align video content with campaign goals and messaging; collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives;
  • Be a self starter and finisher: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of content; maintain organized files and archives of all video content.
  • What you need to have:

  • A desire to work for a mission-driven company that helps improve lives of our patients on a day-to-day basis;
  • Proven experience as a Videographer and Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work;
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar;
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create emotive and engaging content;
  • Excellent understanding of video production techniques, including lighting, sound, and camera operation;
  • Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours to accommodate project needs;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Exemplary project management skills, with strong ability to juggle multiple priorities and excel in a lean and demanding work environment;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt and work effectively with a team;
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-through;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • What we would love to see:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, coaching, creative, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization;
  • Demonstrated ability for building culture with a mission-driven approach;
  • Motivated by challenges;
  • Positive attitude with an eye for solutions and energy for rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever needs to be done. A problem solver who takes ownership and loves to learn;
  • High IQ and EQ. Leads with humility, integrity, and intellect;
  • Proven ability to re-prioritize and work quickly and efficiently;
  • Experience in both early stage (scrappy, get-stuff-done mentality, comfortable in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment) and later stage (ability to make stuff happen through influence).
  • To ensure you feel good solving a big Human problem, we offer:

  • A stimulating, fast-paced environment with lots of room for creativity;
  • A bright future at a promising high-tech startup company;
  • Career development and growth, with a competitive salary;
  • The opportunity to work with a talented team and to add real value to an innovative solution with the potential to change the future of healthcare;
  • A flexible environment where you can control your hours (remotely) with unlimited vacation;
  • Access to our health and well-being program (digital therapist sessions);
  • Remote or Hybrid work policy: We have offices in Porto and Lisbon, so if you want to have face-to-face contact you can always work from there.
