How do we select which companies to feature on our website?

Our unique platform stands out among job portals in Portugal by employing human curators. We scrutinize top startups' jobs, monitor industry sentiment, and present job information for easy comparison.

As you understood by now, what makes this platform different from most of the so-called job portals is the fact that there are actual humans behind it, curating and drilling down what information to show you, ensuring you access comparable information about relevant startups and scaleups in Portugal and their job offers. But what do we mean by curating? What process do we follow?

Our process is actually quite simple and transparent (1, 2, 3)!

1. We monitor most of the top 50 largest startups and scaleups (and a few other ones) operating in Portugal
Many of these companies post a great amount of jobs, most of which to newly created positions, to support their accelerated growth. We like to look closely into these startups and scaleups either because of the fact that they have been around for a while and look stable enough, from a financial and reputation point of view, for us to consider their recruitment practices robust. Plus, there seems to be a correlation between this apparent stability and two factors that tend to be appreciated by ambitious job seekers: a) high-quality information about the job positions, and b) the quality of the jobs themselves.

2. We follow the sentiment and news through dedicated channels about the startup ecosystem
We follow thoroughly what is happening in the startup scene, from news to forums, to interviews, rankings and awards. There is some volatility associated with the startup market - that has been more true in the past than in it is now, but still - and we like to keep an eye on troubling events that might put some companies' stability into question, or in the appearance of rising stars that seem to show a prominent future.

3. We collect public information about their posted jobs and present them in a easy-to-search and compare way
The last part of the process is the one where we focus on providing job seekers with comparable information among opportunities, without having to waste time understanding how each job platform or company website is structured. This brings agility to job seeking, especially for those that make it a daily routine task for a while and don't have much time to lose.
