THE ROLE

As the Operations Regional Director responsible for leading our UK, Ireland & Nordics operations regional team, you'll be managing a team that focuses on execution of regional processes and managing a set of our local depots and their respective teams, overseeing the daily operations in order to drive operational results on availability and quality of the fleet, customer satisfaction over the service provided and operational efficiency, through ensuring high-standards for our operations and effective implementation of central procedural guidelines defined for our operating model. You will be part of the management team of the region and be responsible for the achievement of the targets defined for your region. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this pivotal role Indie Campers, together with working alongside people from different countries and nationalities. 

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Lead and supervise the regional team and the local teams in your region
  • Oversee day-to-day regional operations execution and actively manage the team to achieve the results defined for the region regarding fleet availability, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Oversee the performance of the local operations and guarantee that the operating standards are being followed and the operational objectives are being met
  • Guarantee that the customer is first, and address all customer feedback with the utmost importance, adapting the modus operandi to decrease the amount of exceptions, and monitor results daily and follow-up on action plans for continuous improvement;
  • Coordinate with central teams to ensure processes are well defined and adapted to the regions, in order to ensure success
  • Lead, coordinate and deliver any projects related to operational expansion within your region;
  • Responsible for the P&L management of your region, being part of the management team of the region, along with Revenue & Marketing, People and Finance peers, being the ultimate responsible for the operational cost of the service provided to the customer in your region. Within this scope you will be required to: be responsible for identifying efficiency initiatives and their effective deployment; be responsible for any relationship with international suppliers for operations that exist within the region; ensure resources are always adjusted to activity levels, constantly forecasting the demand needs and optimising local cost structures.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Background in Business Management, Engineering or similar education;
  • At least 10 years of total relevant experience;
  • Experience in strategic consulting or finance-related positions is a plus; 
  • More than 3 years of proven experience in managing operational teams with P&L Ownership and direct control over operational financial performance on sustainable business models - rent-a-car and hospitality industries are a plus;
  • Proven track record in establishing operational standards and developing structured operations;
  • Proven track record in leading, managing and developing high-performing teams;
  • Capacity to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation;
  • Thrives under pressure and is able to coordinate the efforts of big teams;
  • Organized, analytical and results-oriented;
  • Fluent in English.
