Job Description
We are looking for a Product Manager - B2B Payment Methods to lead the development and optimization of payment solutions for our business customers. This role is critical to ensuring seamless transactions, increasing payment success rates, and improving the overall efficiency of our B2B payment processes. You will work closely with engineering, finance, compliance, and external payment providers to enhance our payment infrastructure and align it with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development:
- Develop and execute the vision and roadmap for B2B payment methods, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Optimize payment processing, reduce friction in transactions, and improve approval rates for B2B payments.
- Define key metrics and measure payment performance, fraud prevention, and cost efficiency.
- Evaluate and integrate new payment providers, alternative payment methods (APMs), and bank transfer solutions to improve coverage and user experience.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (PSD2, 3DS, AML, etc.) and internal risk policies.
Execution & Delivery:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of B2B payment solutions, from concept to launch.
- Define business requirements (BRD, PRD, specifications) and collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between engineering, finance, compliance, and external payment providers to optimize B2B transaction flows.
- Work closely with data teams to analyze payment performance and user behavior, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure the payment process meets the needs of enterprise customers, including invoice-based payments, net terms, and credit limits.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Communicate the B2B payment roadmap and priorities to internal teams and senior leadership.
- Work with the Sales and Account Management teams to understand customer pain points and optimize payment processes accordingly.
- Maintain strong relationships with payment providers (Adyen, PayPal, Mondu, etc.) to stay updated on the latest industry trends and innovations.
- Lead effective brainstorming sessions with stakeholders to align on payment initiatives.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management in Payments, FinTech, or B2B E-commerce.
- Strong knowledge of payment processing, 3DS authentication, fraud prevention, and compliance regulations.
- Experience working with payment providers, acquirers, and PSPs (e.g., Adyen, PayPal, Braintree, Mondu, etc.).
- Proven ability to define payment-related KPIs, analyze performance data, and optimize success rates.
- Experience with invoice payments, credit risk assessment, and net terms for B2B clients is a plus.
- Technical background or strong collaboration with engineering teams on API-based payment integrations.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive decision-making based on data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, compliance, and engineering teams.
- Ability to prioritize work efficiently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
