We are looking for a Senior Designer (m / f / d) with a passion for creativity and a keen eye for detail to help evolve our brand design guidelines, acting as the visual brand guardian, to ensure the consistency of our design output within Marketing. You will be embedded in the new Brand & Communications team, reporting to the VP of Communications, but will also collaborate closely with the Product Design Manager to ensure a consistent design system across the business.
The role will involve a combination of hands-on design work, higher-level strategic decision-making, and career development responsibilities.
Expertise in digital design UX / UI and digital experiences is essential for this role.
Initially this role will have no direct reports, so the role will be focused on leading the design system & brand guidelines, but over time this will likely change into a more hands-on people management role.

- Brand Stewardship: Act as our "visual brand guardian," ensuring all design work aligns with the company's brand identity and values as well as review and approve design outputs
- Collaborate on Design System Stewardship: Work closely with the Product Design Manager to ensure consistency and scalability of design systems and that all Marketing related design elements adhere to brand guidelines and standards.
- Strategic Creative Direction: Make top-level creative decisions that drive the overall direction of the company’s design strategy as part of the design team
- Ad Production Creative Direction for Marketing Channels: Be a leader in the ideation process for new Marketing campaigns, and ad creatives and own our internal ad production process - ensuring alignment with product design, Marketing leaders and Marketing channel owners.
- UX/UI and Digital Experience: Oversee UX/UI design to ensure brand consistency across all Marketing and website assets and implement best practices in digital design to enhance usability, accessibility, and engagement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with different internal (and external freelancer) stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into compelling design solutions and present design concepts and solutions to senior management and other stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind design decisions.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies, incorporating best practices into the design process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in design, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, including branding, web design, ad creation, UX, UI, and digital design solutions.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools.
- Extensive experience managing and maintaining a design system.
- Excellent understanding of branding, typography, color theory, layout principles, and digital design best practices.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills as well as strong organizational and project management abilities.
Nice to have:
- Experience in data privacy or related fields.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other web design technologies.
- Certification in project management or design-related courses.
- Management/mentoring experience or ambition.
