About the job:

As the leader of the Data Team, you will be responsible for coordinating the data initiatives delivery, helping LOQR enhance profitability, efficiency, and effectiveness by timely producing relevant and coherent analytics & insights.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, deploy and maintain a Data Mesh solution to power LOQR's Data Analytics needs;
  • Design streaming or batch dataflows capable of processing massive quantities of data;
  • Monitoring dataflows and underlying systems, promoting the necessary changes to ensure scalable, high-performance solutions and assure data quality and availability;
  • Work closely with the rest of LOQR's teams to deliver a world-class Data Mesh solution.
  • Provide clear guidance/instructions, setting targets and motivating team members;
  • Delegate work and oversee progress towards goals;
  • Monitor and drive team performance, coaching team members and providing constructive feedback that fosters their growth;
  • Managing and coordinating team capacity, delivery and commitment alongside his manager;
  • Should have effective communication, problem solving and delegation skills.

About you:

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science and or Computer Engineering;
  • Strong understanding of distributed computing principles and distributed systems;
  • Good understanding of Lambda, Kappa, and Data Lake Architectures;
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools such as Superset and be able to provide guidance to the team on creating meaningful data visualizations.
  • Ability to build stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Flink, Spark-Streaming, Kafka Streams, Storm, or similar;
  • Experience with messaging systems, such as Kafka, Pulsar or RabbitMQ;
  • Practice with Relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL Databases;
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Javascript);
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes;
  • Experience with application containerization (e.g: Docker);
  • Relentless willing to learn;

  • Agile mindset;
  • Great written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English).
